Kingston 8GB CF for sale
« on: February 25, 2010, 11:07:18 AM »
Hi all , i recently bought myself a Kingston 8GB elite CF card 133x , to cut a long story short kingston cards do not get on very well with Nikon(i can hear canon users laughing) and i have decided to sell it .I have spoke to quite a few guys on another forum and this is very common ,but they get on very well with canon cameras .The card does work on my camera albeit very slowly ,but it's just to slow for me as i bought it for an upcoming wedding . I'm selling it for 13 quid, no offers ,if anyone wants it i'll bring it along tonight .Dave

I've had one of these cards before and it worked really slowly in my D300 as well. I sold it on to a Canon user who was very happy with it and said it worked as fast as he'd expect it to in his Canon 50D.

When you have a camera made by the best manufacturer (Nikon) then the only option is to use cards from the best manufacturer (Sandisk).

Is it called the dark side cos it doesn't handle highlights well?

Dave, I'll have it as a backup card as long as it works on Canons and is not sluggish. But don't keep it for me if you get an offer in the interim.
